Product Overview

Wrap the product without rotating the product

The orbital stretch wrapper carries the film around the workpiece through a rotating ring. This format is well suited to long or profile-shaped products that are difficult, inefficient, or unsafe to turn during wrapping.

Full-perimeter film coverage
Apply stretch film around the product as it travels through the wrapping ring.
Supported product handling
Keep the workpiece on rollers or conveyors throughout the wrapping process.
Adjustable film overlap
Coordinate ring rotation and product movement for the required coverage.
Project-based configuration
Match the ring, conveyor, guarding, controls, and options to the application.

Key Benefits

Protection designed around long and profile-shaped products

A practical wrapping format for companies that need repeatable containment, surface protection, bundling, or transport preparation without rotating the workpiece.

01

Continuous Coverage

Wrap film around the product perimeter and along its length with controlled overlap.

02

Product Remains Supported

Long or awkward workpieces can stay on the conveyor instead of being turned by the operator.

03

Repeatable Wrap Pattern

Coordinated ring and conveyor settings help standardize the wrapping result.

04

Flexible Product Range

The opening, guides, and handling system can be selected for the intended size range.

05

Line Integration

Powered conveyors and control interfaces can support upstream and downstream workflows.

06

Application Options

Film tension, cutting, pressing, guarding, and handling options can be reviewed by project.

How It Works

A controlled horizontal wrapping sequence

Load the workpiece

Place or feed the product onto the support rollers or conveyor.

Set the wrap

Select the required film tension, overlap, and operating sequence.

Pass through the ring

The film carriage rotates around the product as it moves through the opening.

Complete and transfer

Finish the film cycle and move the wrapped product to the next process.

Machine Configuration

Configured around product size, support, and required coverage

Share the minimum and maximum product dimensions, weight, length, required wrap result, loading method, and target throughput. FYXFER will use those details to define the appropriate machine format.

Product Selection

Orbital wrapping or pallet wrapping?

The correct machine format depends on what should move during the wrap cycle.

Choose Orbital

The product moves through a wrapping ring

Best suited to long, bundled, profile-shaped, panel-like, or awkward workpieces that should remain supported while the film rotates around them.

Choose Turntable

The complete pallet rotates on a platform

Best suited to palletized loads that can rotate safely on a turntable while the film carriage moves vertically around the load.

Manufacturing & Quality

Project configuration reviewed before manufacturing

FYXFER coordinates application review, machine configuration, assembly, applicable checks, export preparation, and after-sales handover through the factory team.

Applications

Typical products for horizontal orbital wrapping

Aluminum & Metal Profiles

Apply protective film coverage around long extrusions, channels, and bundled profiles.

Pipes & Tubes

Wrap individual or bundled pipe products while they remain supported along the conveyor.

Timber & Boards

Contain and protect long wood products, boards, panels, and bundled components.

Doors & Furniture Parts

Provide film coverage for panel-like products and assembled or semi-finished components.

Rolled & Flexible Goods

Review orbital wrapping for suitable rolled, bundled, or elongated flexible products.

Industrial Components

Prepare long or irregular manufactured parts for handling, storage, or transport.

Frequently Asked Questions

Planning your orbital wrapping project

What information is needed for machine selection?

Please share the minimum and maximum width and height, product length, weight, rigidity, surface condition, required film coverage, loading method, target throughput, and destination power supply. Photos or a process video are also useful.

How is the ring opening selected?

The opening must provide suitable clearance around the maximum product cross-section while supporting the required film path and safety arrangement. FYXFER will confirm the proposed range during configuration review.

Can the wrapper handle different product sizes?

Yes, within the confirmed machine range. Product guides, support rollers, conveyor dimensions, and operating settings should be reviewed for the minimum and maximum products.

Can the machine be integrated into an existing line?

Powered conveyors and control interfaces can be evaluated for integration. Please provide the line direction, conveyor height, available space, upstream and downstream process, and target operating sequence.

Can film cutting and clamping be automated?

Automatic film handling can be reviewed as a project option. The appropriate arrangement depends on the product, film, operating sequence, and required automation level.

What support is available for overseas projects?

Project support can include operating documentation, remote technical assistance, troubleshooting coordination, and spare-parts guidance. The applicable scope should be confirmed for each order.
